Brijesh Pratap Singh
Brijesh Pratap Singh is a current Master in Public Policy student at the Harvard Kennedy School, where he focuses on Economics of Energy & Climate policies in his Business Government Policy (BGP) concentration. Brijesh is a strategic and analytical leader with a comprehensive background in project management, renewables, sustainability, natural gas utility infrastructure, focused on developing and implementing strategies to advance the transition to a low carbon energy future.
Brijesh spent 9+ years at GAIL, India’s largest state-owned Natural Gas utility company most recently as Manager Corporate Strategy and Planning. Brijesh was responsible for leading the sustainability strategy and have created created corporate roadmap for enhancement of renewable energy share to 80% of captive energy portfolio, including rooftop solar plants, and fuel-cell based power backup.
Currently, Brijesh is engaged as Research Assistant at Harvard’s Belfer Center under supervision of Dr. Nicola De Blasio focusing on green hydrogen and associated geopolitics. The project aims at identifying deployment opportunities and policies to enable a hydrogen-based energy transition in India.
